Joe Lazurek 

LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Joe & Michelle came to LVC in August of 2018. Pastor Joe has served in Alliance Churches since 2001 in the roles of lead pastor, church planter, assistant pastor, and solo pastor. He has a Bachelor of Ministry from Prairie Bible College, a Masters in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Alliance Theological Seminary. Michelle has a Bachelors in Communication from Southern Connecticut University, and a Masters in Counseling from Liberty University. She is a published author, a literary agent for WordWise Media and  speaks at various conferences. You can learn more about Michelle at www.MichelleLazurek.com.

Joe and Michelle are passionate about communicating God's Word,  seeing people walk deeply with Jesus and developing leaders. They have 2 children, Caleb and Leah, and a Bernese Mountain Dog named Cookie.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

John Geib

WORSHIP LEADER 

John and Jenn started attending LVC in August of 2016.  John has served in several roles in the Brethren in Christ Church including associate pastor, worship leader, and camp meeting assistant director. He has spent 25 years in public safety, holding both paid and volunteer positions in emergency medical service, fire, and 911 communication organizations. Jenn works as a teaching assistant with special needs students in the Pennridge School District. John and Jenn have four children – Kendall, Maddie, Hannah, and Brennan. The entire family actively participates as a foster family for a local dog rescue organization.  They have adopted one (so far) – Clara – and continue to foster many more.

Micah Ruch

DIRECTOR of STUDENT MINISTRY

Micah grew up in Locust Valley Chapel and is now serving as the Director of Student Ministry. He graduated in 2018 with a degree in Business Marketing at East Stroudsburg University. God changed his plans during college and he responded to God's call to full-time ministry. He is currently attending Capital Seminary working on his Master of Divinity degree in pastoral studies.

 

Micah is passionate about helping people understand God's Word and the good news that Jesus died in our place and rose again. He enjoys spending time with youth and developing relationships to speak into their lives and walk alongside them as they learn what it means to follow Jesus. 

Janet Amerman

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Janet and Roger started attending Locust Valley Chapel in June, 2006. Janet has been involved in children's ministry as a teacher, coordinator, or helper for more than 40 years. She has taught elementary school for 4 years and ran a pre-school in Allentown for 22 years. She recently retired after 10 years working for Hallmark Cards. 

 

Janet and Roger have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. They enjoy camping, traveling and lending a helping hand whenever possible.
