What To Expect

What to Expect When You Visit

We realize that visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. When you arrive at our building, look for a parking spot marked for first time guests. Our main entrances to our Worship Center are located in both the front parking lot and rear parking lot. When you enter you can expect:

Friendly people.

You’ll be welcomed at the door by someone from our Connection Team. They can help you find your way around, answer any questions you might have, and give you as little or as much information about Locust Valley Chapel as you would like.

A casual atmosphere.

Feel free to wear whatever your comfortable with. We have free coffee available in our lobby before and after our services.

A fun, safe environment for kids.

If you have children and would like them to attend D3 Kids (currently only at our 9am service), a member of our Connection Team will help you find our D3 Kids’ Zone and get them checked in. All the people who serve on our D3 Kids Team love kids and have PA clearances to volunteer with children. Nursery age children can attend D3 Kids during the entire service. Kids in grades K-5 are dismissed half-way through our worship service.

Engaging music.

Our music is designed to help you focus on and encounter God. Our band includes guitars, keyboards, and drums. Our desire is to create an atmosphere of freedom. Some people will raise their hands as an act of worship while singing. Many will clap during some songs. Feel free to be yourself.

Practical teaching.

One of our pastors will bring a message that is both biblical and applicable to real life. Our Sunday services are both identical and are generally 60-75 minutes long. Check out our sermon page to see what our teachings are like.
